Zoar Valley

Yesterday, we travelled to Cattaraugus County to hike around Zoar Valley. 

Did I enjoy myself? 

Not so much.

The road that leads to it was closed due to recent flooding.

Forgot the bug spray - DJ and I were dive bombed by deer flies.

King David, however, went unscathed. 

The King and Prince at the chestnut plantation.

Down along the creek, it wasn't so bad.

DJ skipped stones...

and made a friend...

Oh yeah, I got car sick on the way home...

Moral of this post:  When planning a day hike, make sure you do your research,
don't drink a lot of pink lemonade,
and always have bug spray on hand!!!

Memorial Day Images

I am lucky enough to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of my home for many reasons.

Today, however, I honor the military (past and present) and say thank you for allowing me to enjoy these amenities.  Because of your sacrifices, I have been afforded many things.  Most importantly - freedom.

That being said, I hope you enjoy the photos of our Memorial Day parade. 

The weather could not have been more perfect...

Now, I am off to roast some hot dogs and enjoy the afternoon sun.

I hope your day is enjoyable also.

This One is For You Dad

Hand Washing Dishes

First let me emphasize that I do not enjoy doing dishes.
