My nephew Daniel went to his Senior prom last night and once again I was lucky enough to be asked to take photos of this event. I can't believe he will be graduating next month. As always, he looked handsome and his date for the prom was gorgeous. Although the weather was a little on the cool side, the sun was shining, the sky was blue and dotted with big fluffy clouds making it perfect for photos.
This was location of the photo shoot. Yeah, I know - beautiful...
This is my nephew Daniel...
Here he is with his date...
The group of kids that went to the prom.
My sister (Daniel's Mom) and DJ were there too.
Best friends regaled with stories of their adventures...
and brought smiles and laughter to everyone around them.
Pretty soon this field of dandelions is going to be a field of wishes.
I will pick a bouquet of these wishes, blow on them and wish only the very best for Daniel and his circle of friends :)
I am very thankful that I am part of Daniel's life. He is a wonderful young man and I am proud to be his Aunt Dee.
Family, food, friends, dogs, cats, hiking, nature, photography and my adventures. It's what it's about.

Friday Night Lights
This past Friday night I went to my nephew Daniel's last football game of his high school career. It was also the beginning of Homecoming Weekend and Senior recognition night. You knew I had to be there :)
I went early and took before game pictures of the coach giving his pep talk...
of Daniel being recognized as a Senior and his Mom being there to support him...
of the team removing their helmets and paying respect to our country's national anthem... I watched my nephew support his team from both the sidelines...
and on the field...
His team played a good first half and returned after halftime with determination...
Unfortunately, they lost. However, as I always say, "It's not whether you win or lose that matters. It's how you play the game that matters most."
On that note, I want you to know that I could not be prouder of my nephew not only as a football player, but as a wonderful young man.
Can I hear a POUND IT Daniel?

Junior Prom
My nephew Daniel went to his junior prom last night. I know - hard to believe that I have a 17 year old nephew :) However, it is true and I couldn't be more proud of him. He is truly a wonderful boy and pretty funny to boot. I was lucky enough to be asked to take pictures.
And take pictures I did.
Here are a few of my favorites...
My handsome nephew, Daniel...
With his lovely date and girlfriend, Sarah...
This photo reminds me of Daniel when he was little...
You knew there was gonna be some shots working the shades, didn't ya?
And, rock those sun glasses, he did!!!
You could not have asked for a nicer day.
Blue skies and clouds are my favorite...
Big trucks are nice too :)
What a good looking group :)
Yeah, he's cute, smart and kind...
His Momma done raised a good boy...
To me, however, he will always be...
mylittle big doofball nephew:)
I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

It's Not Whether You Win
or lose that matters...
It's how you play the game that matters most.
And, it's about hanging with (and picking on) your dorky sister...
and doofball son...
Because at the end of the day, no matter how short your bangs are, they are family and they love you.
And, you love them too :)
And, at end of the day, that's what really matters the most:)
Great game Tigers!!!

Are You Ready for Some Football
It's a Friday night party.
With Daniel and all his friends...
Let's get this thing started...
I know, I know the whole Hank thing.
What can I say, I like the tune.
And Hank:)
But make sure you bundle up because it is a cold, wet and windy Friday here in western New York!!!
But not cold enough for my nephew and his team mates to win!!!
14-6
It's how they roll :)

Friday Night Basketball
The boys and I went last night and watched my nephew, Daniel, play basketball. We've never gone to one of his games because he lives like an hour away. However, when I found out he was playing in a nearby town, I said, "Let's go!!!" Off we went.
Daniel and one of his best friends are Co-Captains of the team. Look at Daniel, he's tall. I call him Gigantor (as in the movie, Night at the Museum :) He has height...
Style...
Attitude...
and shoots foul shots like a pro...
And, although they lost, he was the high scorer of the game and deserving of the drink of champions...
It was my honor to present you with that Daniel ;)
You done good!!!
