My Evening Walk

I blew off work today.

It felt good.

No, it felt great.

I baked chocolate chip cookies, bathed skunky Snoop, bathed myself, did laundry, took a nap, and made homemade spaghetti sauce.

Sometimes, you just need a day.

And, of course, I made time to enjoy my evening walk.

It is self explanatory why I love it so much.

Tell me this is not relaxing.

Go ahead, tell me.
If you can blow off a day, do it.
You will not regret it.
If not, take a walk :)
It puts everything in perspective.
That's what life is all about - perspective.

When Skunks Raise Their Ugly Hind Legs

Because once he raises those back legs - you're a goner.

Don't look at me like that.
I don't care how cute you are or how much you hate baths.
You're getting a bath anyway.
We'll be bathing you today with the special Skunk Ala Gone Shampoo.
And then, you can come in the house and have your doggie bone.

Buffalo Bills Preseason Football and Veggie Pizza

Tonight the Buffalo Bills are playing against the Denver Broncos.
That means two things in my house - pizza and I have to watch TV in DJ's room.
There will be no pictures of DJ's room.  (It's not pretty :)
However, the pizza is very photogenic and delicious to boot.

I picked it up at Wegmans earlier this week. 
God, I love Wegmans.  It may very well be my favorite store.
I actually miss it when I go on vacation.  That's a whole other post.

And, here's a closeup of my favorite boy in the whole wide world - DJ.

We both give the pizza a big thumbs up.
Let's hope the Bills' performance tonight is thumbs up worthy also.
While DJ enjoys the game, I am off to his room to watch gymnastics.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread

It actually feels like a fall day today.
Temperatures are in the lower 70s, the sky is scattered with cumulus nimbus clouds, and rain is imminent.
It is the perfect day to bake and with zucchini overly abundant, chocolate zucchini bread it is.

Go ahead and try it, I am sure you will like it.  

It is super moist and goes perfect with a good magazine and a cup of coffee (or a glass of milk:)
